We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Handyman with a strong carpentry background to join our team on a residential construction project in Down Ampney. The successful candidate will be working on-site for approximately 5–6 months, undertaking a variety of finishing and remedial works to support the completion of high-quality residential properties.

- Second Fix Carpentry
- Hanging doors
- Skirting and architraves
- Ironmongery installation
- Fitted joinery and finishing works
- Basic Plumbing
- Minor plumbing installations and alterations
- Installing sanitary ware
- Rectification of minor plumbing defects
- Pre-Plaster Works
- Preparing properties for plastering
- Ensuring all first fix elements are completed to specification
- Coordination with other trades as required
- Air Testing Preparation
- Identifying and sealing air leakage points
- Assisting with measures required to achieve air-tightness standards
- Carrying out remedial works following test results if necessary
- Snagging & Finishing
- Completing snagging lists
- Rectifying defects to a high standard
- Ensuring plots are ready for handover
Requirements
- Proven experience in both first and second fix carpentry
- Good all-round handyman skills
- Basic plumbing experience
- Experience with pre-plaster preparation and air testing requirements desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Valid CSCS card preferred
