About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable, proactive Executive Assistant to provide first-class administrative and business support to the Managing Director of a forward-thinking construction company. This is a pivotal role, offering genuine career progression and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contributing directly to the strategic direction and success of the business. You will act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director, anticipating needs, solving problems, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day and strategic activities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Managing Director
- Act as a key point of contact and “gatekeeper”, ensuring effective communication across the business
- Manage the Managing Director’s diary, appointments, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics
- Prepare briefs, agendas, reports, presentations, and board-level documentation
- Coordinate and support Board meetings, including minute taking and action tracking
- Manage and prioritise the Managing Director’s email inbox
- Support the development of business strategy through research, analysis, and project coordination
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on behalf of the Managing Director
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Build strong working relationships across departments including HR, IT, SHEQ, and wider business support teams
- Support and drive efficiency improvements in processes and ways of working
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business needs
