You will be joining a highly regarded Electrical Building Services team, working alongside building physicists, sustainability consultants, carbon and energy specialists, and BIM professionals to deliver integrated, low-carbon solutions.
The role:
- Lead and contribute to projects from feasibility through to completion across multiple sectors
- Develop and implement decarbonisation strategies for new and existing buildings
- Undertake life-cycle carbon and cost optioneering assessments
- Utilise and enhance analytical tools and economic models to optimise energy, carbon and financial performance
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically robust, sustainable designs
- Contribute to digital innovation, exploring automation and data-driven design approaches
Senior Consultant Responsibilities
- Take ownership of key project elements and support delivery across multiple workstreams
- Provide technical input and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Support and mentor junior engineers
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
About You
You will bring strong technical expertise in electrical building services design, alongside a genuine passion for sustainability and decarbonisation. Essential experience includes:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architectural & Environmental Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g. CEng) through a recognised professional body (or close to achieving chartership)
- Proven experience delivering electrical systems within complex building projects
- Demonstrable experience developing decarbonisation strategies, including life-cycle carbon and cost assessments
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, energy performance standards and low-carbon technologies
- Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
