We are seeking skilled Industrial Sewing Machinists to join our client’s manufacturing team in Ledbury. The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial sewing machines, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for producing high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong sewing background to develop their skills within a busy and supportive manufacturing environment.
Experience Required:
- High level of sewing ability, ideally with industrial materials and products
- Good knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a seamstress/sewing machinist or in a similar role
- Proficient in sewing techniques and operating industrial sewing machines
- Excellent attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to read and follow patterns, measurements and instructions
- Able to carry out accurate measurements
- Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards
- Able to identify mistakes, check finished work and correct faults
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confident communicating with customers when required
- Conscientious, reliable and takes pride in their work
