ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable residential construction company for an experienced Working Foreman. This company undertakes all aspects of construction, general building, and project management for home renovation projects – from full refurbishments and property extensions to bespoke new build homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, proactive Foreman to join a passionate team delivering high-quality residential projects across the region. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations on site, coordinating trades, managing materials, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all on-site construction activities
- Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Managing project schedules and resource allocation
- Maintaining site records and reporting progress to the project manager
- Quality assurance and snagging oversight
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Problem-solving and decision-making on site
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman on residential projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to interpret drawings and manage day-to-day site logistics
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- First Aid trained (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- A proactive approach with attention to detail and quality
