The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Building People are recruiting for an experienced Drylining QA Manager to join a large-scale project in Southampton. This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality residential/commercial schemes. This role will suit someone who has previously operated in a QA position or has a strong background as a Drylining Supervisor looking to step into a more quality-focused role. You will play a key part in ensuring all drylining works are completed to the highest standards and in line with project specifications.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out quality inspections on all drylining works across site
- Ensuring works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation, including inspection reports and checklists
- Identifying defects and ensuring remedial works are completed efficiently
- Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and trades teams
- Supporting handover processes and ensuring snag-free completion
- Promoting high standards of health & safety and workmanship on site
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a QA role or as a Drylining Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of drylining systems and installation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- CSCS card (essential)
- SSSTS/SMSTS (beneficial but not essential)
