The Role & About the Client
ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quality Assurance Manager on behalf of a leading contractor delivering a live building project in Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team on a 40-week contract, overseeing quality assurance across external works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications, client expectations and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Managing quality assurance processes across all external works packages.
- Carrying out routine quality inspections on a live building project.
- Recording inspections, defects and progress using Field View software.
- Ensuring all work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
- Working closely with site management and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Maintaining accurate QA records and supporting project documentation.
- Assisting with inspections, snagging and project handover activities.
- Promoting best practice and ensuring quality procedures are followed throughout the project.
- Supporting the successful delivery of the project within programme timescales.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working as a Quality Assurance Manager on construction projects.
- Experience overseeing external works on live building projects.
- Proficient in the use of Field View software.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures and documentation.
- CSCS Card (essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
