The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, local construction company based in Knaphill who are experiencing continued growth and a strong forward order book. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Site Foreman, and would suit someone looking to move into a Contracts Manager role further down the line. The company delivers a variety of projects, typically up to £500k in value, with a strong pipeline of repeat clients and fast-paced turnaround programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing multiple smaller-scale projects within a supportive and progressive business. Projects are located across the region, ranging from Guildford through to Winchester.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations across multiple projects
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and materials to ensure efficient delivery
- Ensure all works are carried out to high standards of quality and safety
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams
- Monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Support the management of multiple projects ranging from £5k to £150k
- Contribute to building strong, ongoing relationships with repeat clients
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role (or ready to step up)
- Must have a strong trade background
- Ability or willingness to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and hands-on approach to site management
- Good understanding of construction processes and site operations
- Willingness to travel and oversee projects from Guildford through to Winchester
