The role & about the client:

ITS Construction are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities and building services provider for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to support a long-term maintenance contract in Salisbury. This role will involve a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance duties within a commercial environment, with a strong emphasis on plumbing and general mechanical building services maintenance. The client is ideally seeking two engineers, although they may also consider one full-time engineer depending on operational requirements. Due to the nature of the site and training requirements, the client is looking for engineers who can provide continuity on site and commit consistently throughout the contract duration.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out reactive and planned building services maintenance
  • Plumbing repairs including taps, toilets, and sanitary ware
  • Attending reactive call-outs for blocked toilets and drainage issues
  • General mechanical maintenance across the site
  • AHU maintenance and basic fault finding
  • Pipework repairs and associated mechanical works
  • Working safely and professionally within a live commercial environment
  • Maintaining accurate records of completed works and maintenance activities

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience within building services or facilities maintenance
  • Strong plumbing and mechanical maintenance background
  • Comfortable carrying out reactive plumbing works, including unblocking toilets
  • Experience with AHUs, pipe repairs, or steam systems would be highly desirable
  • A clear DBS check due to site clearance requirements
  • Reliable, professional, and able to commit consistently to site attendance
  • Relevant mechanical or plumbing qualifications advantageous
