The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable construction firm delivering high quality residential projects. Known for its hands on approach and commitment to excellence, the company takes pride in producing durable, well finished work while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. This client is looking for a Trainee Site Manager to build a long term career in Site Management, gaining hands-on experience while working closely with experienced Site Managers. This client is looking for a candidate based close to Fareham.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the day-to-day management of construction sites
- Support site managers in coordinating subcontractors, labour, and materials
- Help ensure projects are delivered in line with programme schedules
- Monitor quality standards and assist with inspections
- Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety on site
- Assist with site paperwork, reports, and record keeping
- Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates
- Support the delivery of projects to the required specifications and standards
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and other team members
- Learn and develop site management skills through hands on experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine interest in construction and site management
- Practical site experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff
- Good understanding of health and safety principles (or willingness to learn)
- Willing to be put through relevant tickets and certification
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
