We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager / Project Surveyor to join our growing team in our brand-new Sway office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with high standards, strong technical ability, and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for managing construction projects from initial conception through to completion, including:
- Planning, coordinating and overseeing all project stages
- Managing building contracts, ensuring full compliance and issuing necessary notices (payments, delays, instructions, etc.)
- Monitoring performance to ensure projects meet specification, programme, budget and quality targets
- Procuring and appointing contractors and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships
- Ensuring health & safety compliance across all sites
- Reviewing costs, valuations and issuing variations and contract instructions
- Preparing tender documentation, evaluating returns and reporting
- Attending site meetings and providing clients with clear updates on progress and costs
- Supporting cost planning and value engineering activities
About You
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong construction project expertise. You will have:
- Proven experience managing construction projects (residential, commercial or education preferred)
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of CDM, Building Regulations and construction processes
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- MRICS qualification preferred but not essential
