Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Package

We are acting on behalf of an award-winning contractor to identify an Assistant Site Manager to operate as No.2 on site, reporting directly to the Site Manager on a high-quality care home development in the Newbury area. This position is suited to an Assistant Site Manager who is confident running defined sections of works, coordinating subcontractors, and taking ownership of day-to-day site activity within a structured, professionally managed environment.

The Role:

  • Acting as the Site Manager's second-in-command on site
  • Managing subcontractors and daily site operations
  • Overseeing quality control, inspections, and snagging
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance and site standards
  • Supporting programme delivery and handover processes

Your Background:

  • Proven experience on care home or healthcare-led residential projects (essential)
  • Main contractor background
  • Comfortable operating as No.2 on site with responsibility for sections of works
  • CSCS required; SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
