An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering major construction projects across the West Midlands. This is a permanent position based primarily from the Solihull office, with travel to sites across the region as required. The successful candidate will play a key role across tender, pre-construction and live project phases, providing full lifecycle planning support on a diverse portfolio of schemes.
The Role
As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction planning services from pre-qualification through to project completion. You will work closely with operational, commercial and design teams to produce robust, contract-compliant programmes and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain detailed construction programmes for tender, pre-construction and live projects
- Develop integrated design, procurement and construction programmes that are fully resourced and value-loaded
- Ensure all programmes comply with NEC contract requirements and company standards
- Review project documentation, specifications and scopes to identify constraints and key deliverables
- Prepare tender programmes, logistics proposals and method statements for submissions
- Visit project sites to assess conditions
