An established and respected main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of a significant leisure centre project in Peterborough.

Combining both refurbishment and new build elements, this is a technically interesting scheme that will require strong leadership, attention to detail and excellent project management skills.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you'll coordinate subcontractors, manage site operations and maintain strong relationships with the client and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideally, you'll be based on the west side of Peterborough, providing easy access to future projects across the Midlands as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of a major leisure centre project.
  • Manage both refurbishment and new build construction works.
  • Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme milestones.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve site-related challenges.
  • Work closely with the commercial and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

About You

You'll ideally have

  • Experience working as a Senior Site Manager for a main contractor.
  • A proven track record delivering large-scale refurbishment and/or new build projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, health & safety and quality standards.
  • The ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme on complex schemes.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to support future projects across the Midlands.
