An established and growing construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of 2–3 live developments across the housing and commercial sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for either:

  • An established Site Manager or Senior Site Manager ready to step up into a broader management role, or
  • A candidate who has previously run their own construction business and is looking to join a growing, stable contractor with long-term opportunities.

The role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes, quality, health & safety, budgets, and client expectations are all delivered to a high standard. Projects range from residential developments through to commercial builds and refurbishments, so we are looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach and strong all-round construction knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing 2–3 construction projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and programme delivery
  • Monitoring quality, costs, and health & safety performance
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers
  • Supporting procurement and project planning
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Maintaining high professional and safety standards across all sites

Requirements:

  • Background within residential and/or commercial construction
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Project Manager or Contracts Manager
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence
