ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Materials Controller to join a busy site in Kidderminster.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor on a long-term project.
As the Materials Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site by managing the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking all site deliveries.
- Organising and maintaining the materials storage areas.
- Issuing materials to site operatives as required.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Liaising with suppliers and site management regarding deliveries.
- Keeping accurate records of deliveries and stock movements.
- Ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.
- Maintaining a clean and organised yard and storage areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Materials Controller, Stores Person, Yard Operative or similar role on a construction site.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Forklift/Telehandler experience or certification is advantageous but not essential.
- CSCS Card preferred.
