Part-Time Quantity Surveyor (Permanent or Contract)

My client is a growing general construction business specialising in residential and commercial. Working on New Build, extensions, refurbishments, and small-to-medium construction projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Part‑Time Quantity Surveyor to support our projects from pre‑construction through to final accounts.

This role offers flexibility and would suit someone looking for a part‑time position, whether on a permanent basis or as a contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
• Producing and managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitoring project costs and cash flow
• Assisting with procurement of subcontractors and materials
• Reviewing subcontractor applications and payments
• Supporting project managers with commercial reporting
• Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budgets

About You

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within general construction
• Strong understanding of extensions, refurbishments, and small works projects
• Confident working independently and managing multiple projects
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
