We are working with a well-established and highly respected regional contractor to recruit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based out of their Wolverhampton office. The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support across a range of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and within budget. You will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, gaining exposure to all aspects of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors and preparation of trade packages
  • Supporting the preparation of cost value reports and forecasts
  • Assisting with valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project costs and helping to manage financial performance
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Supporting the commercial lead with contractual correspondence and documentation
  • Attending site visits and assisting with progress and cost tracking
  • Ensuring payments and notices are issued in line with requirements
