ITS Building People are searching for a Candidate Resourcer & Administrator to join the team at our office in Southampton, supporting our Construction Professional division. This role will focus purely on candidate generation, qualification and management within the white‑collar construction market, working closely with experienced Recruitment Consultants across both Permanent and Contract desks.
With over 50 years’ experience within the recruitment industry and now 18 offices in major cities and towns across the UK, we are a well‑established, reputable and successful recruitment agency. Within each of our offices we pride ourselves on local knowledge of both candidates and clients and our bespoke tailored service. Due to continued growth within our Construction Professionals division, we are looking to strengthen our Southampton team with a driven and ambitious Candidate Resourcer.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and attract white‑collar construction professionals including Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Design Managers and Commercial staff.
- Utilise job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and headhunting techniques to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Conduct candidate qualification calls and interviews to assess suitability, experience and motivations.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate candidate records and activity.
- Support Recruitment Consultants with shortlisting and arranging interviews.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with candidates across the South.
- Formatting of CVs.
- General admin roles; inputting of timesheets, data entry etc.
The ideal candidate
- Previous recruitment, sales, resourcing or customer‑facing experience preferred (but not essential).
- Confident communicator with strong telephone manner.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Motivated, resilient and keen to develop within a target‑driven environment.
- An interest in the construction industry would be beneficial.
