Roller Operator required for a highly regarded regional sub contractor. ITS Building People are looking for an experienced and hardworking Roller Operator to assist our client with a project based in Horsham, West Sussex. Own transport is essential. This contract is Monday to Friday and there may be the option to do overtime. Additional training and a full time contract may be provided for the right candidates.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Operate a road roller/compactor safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Compact soil, tarmac, stone and other materials to the required specification.
  • Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
  • Follow site health & safety procedures, RAMS, traffic management and PPE requirements.
  • Work closely with groundworkers and site management to ensure areas are compacted correctly and on schedule.

Requirements for the role:

  • A valid CPCS/NPORS card
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to perform physical manual labour
  • You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
  • Own tools not required

Training/Progression opportunities:

  • There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.
