Job description: Roller Operator required for a highly regarded regional sub contractor. ITS Building People are looking for an experienced and hardworking Roller Operator to assist our client with a project based in Horsham, West Sussex. Own transport is essential. This contract is Monday to Friday and there may be the option to do overtime.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Operate a road roller/compactor safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Compact soil, tarmac, stone and other materials to the required specification.
- Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Follow site health & safety procedures, RAMS, traffic management and PPE requirements.
- Work closely with groundworkers and site management to ensure areas are compacted correctly and on schedule.
Requirements for the role:
- A valid CPCS/NPORS card
- A full UK Driving Licence
- The ability to perform physical manual labour
- You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.
- Own tools not required
Training/Progression opportunities:
- There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management.
