Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver Temp to Perm

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30
Type: 12 week Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join a busy and growing business in Fareham. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. Approximately 30-40% of your time will be spent operating a forklift, with the remainder involving general warehouse duties, stock handling, and supporting the wider team.
Requirements
- Valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Multi-directional forklift experience (Combilift/Hubtex) would be highly advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred due to the varied nature of the role
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Reach, Counterbalance, and multi-directional forklifts where required
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Picking, packing, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
- Handling long and awkward materials, including plastics, timber, and steel
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Supporting the warehouse team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a busy warehouse environment
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to work
- Comfortable handling large, long, and heavy products
