Working for one of the region\’s largest housing associations, you will be joining a team focused on maintaining living standards in one of their independent living schemes. Here you will carry out cleaning services to all communal areas and help oversee the laundry services provided for the scheme
- You will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and rectifying all cleaning requirement
- Your focus will be on achieving a high-quality service and driving customer satisfaction
- You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders including the Independent Living Partner and the client\’s Customer Service Centre
- The role will consist of working 4 hours a-day – mornings only, working 19hours per week
- Carry out cleaning of communal areas
- Administer the laundry service at the independent living scheme
- Complete additional tasks including fire alarm testing
- Carry out weekly flushing of communal water outlets to adhere to control legionella in Hot & Cold Water
- Report maintenance problems or bulk waste dumping to the Scheme Services Co-ordinator
- Ensure daily frequency of cleaning is completed
- Help manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and reporting new request requirements to the Scheme Services Co-ordinator
- Undertake additional duties, to keep the premises and the surroundings clean and in good condition, including stripping and remaking guest room beds and laundering sheets where required
- Vacuuming, cleaning, mopping and polishing of all communal areas e.g.
lounge, cafe, activity rooms, halls, corridors, stairwells, bathrooms, kitchen
and laundry, toilets, bin stores, offices etc and including windowsills, skirtings, light fittings, handrails
- Replenish toilet rolls, hand soaps and paper towels as required
- Launder tea-towels, hand towels, staff uniform items and guest room linens
- Spot clean internal windows where necessary
- Spot clean carpets/flooring where necessary
- Collection of litter from main entrance area and external sweeping of main
- entrance area
- Empty waste bins and recycle contents appropriately
- Ensure cleanliness of the scheme is maintained throughout to a high
standard
Your good to have\’s
- Demonstrable experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties and maintaining
high standards of cleanliness in accordance with specified schedules
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations (General) and Control of Substances
Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
- Full clean driving licence and/or ability to travel in a timely and efficient manner to
visit other sites, frequently located in areas not covered by public transport. Willing
to work at various locations, as required
- Experience of managing a small laundry service, is desirable
Hours and pay
- £12.60 per hour + Holiday pay (PAYE)
- Mornings only
