You will be working for an established Housing Association within the inhouse maintenance delivery team who carry out repairs, planned works and voids to the organisations extensive housing stock. This role will be working within their voids team covering SL postcodes including Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.
**You must a full UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be supplied for this role**
Key elements of the role and your responsibilities
- You will be working in the SL postcodes
- Here you will be focused on turning around void (empty) properties in a safe and timely manner, achieving a finish to be proud of
- For this role you should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade for example carpentry, plumbing or a wet trade and then the ability to undertake a range of multi-trade duties including:
- Like for like plumbing works
- Tiling (mainly splash backs)
- Painting and decorating
- Patch plastering
- 2 nd fix internal carpentry
- General property maintenance
- Please note that No electric of gas work will be required to be undertaken in this role, as this work will be undertaken by other trades.
- Experience of working on void or the refurbishment of empty residential properties is a must and ideally in a social housing setting
- As a Multi Skilled operative you will deliver a good quality of work which meets the finished specifications and expectations so the property can be quickly re-let
- Your work will be a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks undertaken in each property
- Work closely with schedulers and planners to meet contract SLA delivery in a timely manner
- The ability to advise your supervisor on any issues or challenges that require additional support
- Work both on your own or sometimes in a team if other trades are required to complete a repair element
- Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken
- Working in a timely and productive manner
What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the
- You should have a NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in at least one trade or the ability to show that you are \”time served\”.
- Your own 110v power tools and hand tools
- Basic IT skills as you will be using a PDA
- SOR codes knowledge is desirable
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works
- Previous experience of social housing repairs, voids, or planned works
- Adher to company health and safety guidelines

Hours and pay
- £18 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay
- Temp-to-Perm role
