We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Reading. This is an excellent chance to secure a long-term, stable position with a well-established company after a successful 12-week temporary period. The role involves the delivery and collection of goods across the South of England, including London, with some heavy lifting required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out Class 2 deliveries and collections from the Reading depot
- Cover routes across the South of England and London
- Load and unload goods, including heavy lifting
- Complete all paperwork accurately
- Ensure safe and compliant driving
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects
5 on 2 off rotation including weekends; 45 hours per week; overtime may be available.
Pay & Benefits£18.00 per hour during the temporary period; £42,870 per annum once permanent after 12 weeks; weekly pay during temp period; long-term employment opportunity; supportive team and well-maintained fleet.
Candidate Requirements- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience (insurance requirement)
