We are hiring a part-time Sales Executive to help grow a SaaS product used by pet grooming businesses across the UK. This is a varied role combining office-based work, field sales, and attendance at industry events.
Role Overview
- You will be responsible for generating leads, running product demos, and converting prospects into paying customers.
- You will manage your own pipeline and be responsible for sales you personally generate and close.
- The role includes a mix of office work, in-person visits, and event attendance.
Location and Working Pattern
- Based in our Felixstowe office when not in the field
- 25 hours per week
- Flexible working hours
However, the role requires:
- Availability for UK grooming trade shows (approximately 8–10 weekends per year)
- Willingness to travel within the UK for field sales
- Availability for evening demos with US customers
- Occasional international travel (including potential USA trade shows)
Pay and Commission
- Salary: £17,500 per year for a 25-hour per week role
- On-target earnings: £20,000–£24,000+ depending on performance
- You will earn commission based on the number of customers you personally convert into paying subscribers:
- First 10 customers per month: £10 each
- Next 10 customers: £15 each
- 21+ customers: £20 each
Responsibilities
- Identify and contact pet grooming businesses
- Deliver online product demos (including evening demos for US customers)
- Convert prospects into paying customers
- Manage your own pipeline and follow-ups
- Visit grooming businesses where necessary
- Represent the company at grooming shows and industry events
Requirements
- Self-motivated and driven, with a clear desire to succeed in a sales role
- Comfortable taking initiative and managing your own pipeline without constant supervision
- Confident communicator, both in person and over the phone
- Able to build rapport quickly and develop strong relationships with small business owners
- Organised and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
- Competent with computers and able to learn new software quickly
- Comfortable using CRM systems or willing to become proficient quickly
- Able to run structured product demos and confidently ask for the sale
- Willing to travel, attend events, and work occasional evenings and weekends as required
Desirable Experience
- Proven track record in sales (any industry, SaaS experience a bonus)
- Experience managing a full sales cycle (lead generation through to close)
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or similar
- Experience selling to small businesses or service-based industries
- Previous exposure to the pet grooming or pet care industry (helpful but not essential)
- Experience attending or working at trade shows
