Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix support services across enterprise infrastructure environments.
This freelance, on-call role requires a highly skilled professional who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure-related incidents efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Nutanix and networking technologies, hold a valid CCNA certification, and demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluent English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure-related incidents.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
- Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud-related projects.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports, and service records.
- Ensure professional interaction with end users, stakeholders, and customers at all times.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
- Strong hands‑on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
- Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Proven experience providing Break & Fix support in enterprise environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Scripting experience with Power Shell and/or Python is advantageous.
- Mandatory Requirements
- Valid CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
- Minimum 90% pass score on the induction assessment.
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
