Overview

The Wardrobe Assistant supports the Wardrobe & Make Up department for Good Morning Britain (GMB). This role involves assisting with the selection, preparation, and maintenance of wardrobe items for presenters and guests, ensuring they are presented professionally and in line with the show\’s style. The Wardrobe Assistant works closely with the wardrobe team and reports to the Head of Wardrobe & Make Up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the selection and preparation of wardrobe items for presenters and guests
  • Maintain and organize the wardrobe inventory, ensuring items are clean, pressed, and ready for use
  • Assist with fittings and alterations as needed
  • Ensure all wardrobe items are returned and stored correctly after use
  • Support the wardrobe team in coordinating outfits and accessories for on-air talent
  • Help with sourcing and purchasing wardrobe items as directed
  • Maintain a tidy and organized wardrobe area
  • Follow health and safety regulations

These are the main requirements of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. It is intended to reflect the nature, range, and context of the work, which will change over time. Given the early hours required a potential roster would be one week on, one week off. This role often suits part time working. Please note ITN’s Taxi Policy – taxi’s are provided for getting into work on out of hours shifts for those living within a 15 mile radius from Grays Inn Road, taxis are not provided at the end of the shift.
