- Work closely with Producers, Correspondents, Presenters and Gallery to deliver seamless, high-quality live broadcasts.
- Write and oversee scripts that are clear, sharp and tailored to a breakfast audience.
- Make decisive editorial calls on story selection, treatment and programme tone under significant time pressure.
- Deliver a balanced mix of content, from major breaking news and politics to international stories and human interest pieces.

- Collaborate closely with ITV News, Digital and ITVX to maximise reach and impact across platforms.
- Drive creative storytelling, making full use of live production, visuals, graphics and guest contributions.
- Take responsibility for compliance, legal and editorial standards, including taste and decency decisions.
- Reflect the diversity of the UK in both contributors and storytelling.
- Support and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing newsroom culture.
