Junior Researcher – Jeremy Vine & Storm Huntley Show (FTC)

The Junior Researcher will be tasked with helping producers and researchers in all aspects of producing the programme. They will be specifically responsible for helping make newspaper briefing packs for guests, creating on-air graphics, and screening callers who ring into the programme. The successful candidate will have good journalism skills and be brimming with ideas for debates. They will need to be proactive, organised, meticulous and thrive under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help the on-air team in all aspects of research and production
- Make briefing packs for guests
- Create graphics to go on air using Photoshop and Viz
- Select and publish pictures for broadcast
- Screen and select callers before they are put on air
- Come up with ideas for debates and panelists
- Assist the programme team with research on show mornings
- Help look after the programme’s guests before and after the show
- Deal professionally with members of the public who ring into the show
- Be willing to help researchers write briefs and liaise with panelists
- Work in accordance with ITN guidelines on health and safety
