Business Analyst – Operations (Wealth Management) (Contract/freelance) MUST have Wealth Management experience - please ONLY apply if you have this ***inside IR35*** We are seeking experienced Business Analysts – Operations to support a significant growth and transformation programme within a leading Wealth Management business. These roles will focus on the design, analysis and optimisation of operational processes and client journeys, ensuring the business is operationally ready to support new products, propositions, platforms and services. The successful candidates will possess strong Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Management or Financial Services experience, with a proven track record of delivering business analysis across operational change initiatives. Requirements Must have proven Business Analysis experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Management or Financial Services. Minimum 7+ years' Business Analysis experience delivering business and operational change. Strong requirements gathering, elicitation, documentation and analysis skills. Demonstrable experience designing and documenting end-to-end operational processes and client journeys. Strong understanding of client lifecycle management and wealth operations. Experience working across onboarding, account opening, client servicing, fulfilment, hand-offs, exceptions and escalation processes. Ability to work in complex, ambiguous environments and bring structure to evolving requirements. Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology functions. Responsibilities Analyse, design and document end-to-end operational and client journeys. Gather, validate and manage business requirements through workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement. Map current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency. Document operational procedures, business processes, workflows and operating models. Support the design of scalable and efficient client onboarding, servicing and account management processes. Identify operational gaps, risks, dependencies and friction points impacting clients and colleagues. Define operational controls, ownership models, approval processes and service level requirements. Produce business readiness and launch-readiness documentation to support successful implementation. Ensure operational processes align with regulatory requirements, governance frameworks and business objectives. Work closely with Operations, Proposition, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Governance teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support implementation, testing, readiness assessments and post-launch activities. Skills Extensive experience in process mapping and operational journey design. Strong knowledge of client onboarding, account opening and servicing processes. Experience documenting business requirements, operating procedures, workflows and process controls. Understanding of operational resilience, operational risk and conduct requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge existing processes. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Experience working alongside platform, technology and change delivery teams. Excellent communication, documentation and workshop facilitation skills. MUST have Experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking or Investment Management environments. Knowledge of adviser workflows, client servicing models and investment operations. Experience supporting platform implementations, migrations or transformation programmes. Exposure to business readiness, operational readiness and launch planning activities. Familiarity with Customer Journey Mapping, BPMN, Visio, Jira, Confluence and Agile delivery methodologies. Understanding of Consumer Duty, operational resilience and regulatory requirements within Financial Services. You will be a highly capable Business Analyst with strong Wealth Management operations experience , comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and translating complex operational requirements into clear, structured processes and deliverables.
