Ithaca Energy is seeking a Compliance & Internal Controls Lead, a high-impact role at the heart of the company's continued growth and organisational development. This is an opportunity to join one of the leading independent operators in the UK North Sea at a particularly important stage in its evolution.

Ithaca has built significant scale through a combination of organic investment and transformational growth. This role will play a key part in ensuring the business continues to operate within a strong, proportionate and business-aligned compliance and internal controls framework.

Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, the successful candidate will take ownership of corporate compliance frameworks and their ongoing development across areas including:

  • governance
  • code of conduct and ethics
  • whistleblowing
  • gifts and hospitality
  • KYC
  • counterparty due diligence
  • related internal controls

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, they will help embed a culture in which governance and controls are seen not as a barrier, but as an enabler of an effective, well-governed business.

We are interested in speaking with individuals who bring strong experience in corporate compliance/internal controls in a regulated environment, alongside the credibility, judgement and pragmatism to operate effectively in a visible, hands-on role. This is likely to suit someone who enjoys combining framework design with practical implementation, and who is motivated by the opportunity to shape and mature a critical function of the business.

For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the ongoing development of Ithaca's corporate compliance agenda, making a tangible impact on how the business operates effectively. This is an opportunity to join a business of genuine momentum and scale, at a particularly important stage in its development as Ithaca continues to strengthen its organisational capability and support its long-term growth ambitions.
