The Private Pharmacy, an ITH Group company, are looking to appoint a positive and hardworking Customer Service Representative to support our busy online pharmacy which dispenses controlled medications daily.
The role:
- To assist the dispensing team with various duties to include answering phone calls, dealing with telephone and online queries, preparation for dispatch, assisting with packing of orders, liaising with clients and end users, as well as general pharmacy tidying and disposal of rubbish in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
Duties will include:
- Handling inbound telephone calls from customers and patients, acting as the first point of contact.
- Responding to email and online enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Providing clear, accurate information on prescriptions, orders, delivery, queries, and general service questions.
- Maintaining a friendly, calm, and empathetic approach while delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
- Investigating and resolving customer issues, escalating to the appropriate team member where necessary.
- Liaising with pharmacists, dispensary teams, and delivery partners to resolve queries.
- Adhering to pharmacy, healthcare, and GDPR regulations at all times.
- While primarily a telephone and email-based role, there may be occasional requirements to assist with other pharmacy-related or administrative duties, subject to training and competency.
About You:
- Confident and comfortable spending the majority of your working day communicating with customers by telephone and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
- Able to work independently, using initiative to manage your workload and resolve queries effectively.
- Calm, patient, and resilient, particularly when handling challenging or sensitive customer conversations.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering high standards of customer service at all times.
- Fully IT-literate.
- Any previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environments is desirable but not required.
