The Social Media Account Executive plays a key role in the execution and day-to-day management of social media activity across client accounts. Responsible for content scheduling, administrative coordination, and supporting creative development, this role ensures that all social outputs are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time.
Working closely with the wider account, creative, and production teams, the Social Media Account Executive contributes to trend-led content ideas while maintaining operational excellence. This is a hands-on role suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about social media.
Key Responsibilities:- Content Scheduling & Platform Management
- Schedule and publish all social media content across relevant platforms in line with agreed content calendars.
- Ensure all posts are accurate, correctly tagged, and meet brand and platform guidelines.
- Monitor scheduled content to ensure timely execution and flag any issues or changes.
- Account Coordination & Administration
- Act as the primary contact for administrative matters related to social media accounts.
- Maintain organised records of content plans, approvals, and published posts.
- Support the team with day-to-day account coordination, ensuring smooth workflow and communication.
- Assist in managing approvals and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Creative Input & Trend Awareness
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, bringing forward ideas inspired by current trends, platform updates, and cultural moments.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, formats, and best practices to inform content creation.
- Support the development of engaging, relevant, and performance driven content ideas.
- Production Support & Shoot Attendance
- Attend all shoots, supporting on-the-day execution and ensuring content requirements are met.
- Assist in capturing social-first content where needed (e.g. behind the-scenes, real-time content).
- Work closely with production teams to ensure all planned assets are delivered.
- Performance & Optimisation Support
- Assist in tracking content performance and gathering insights.
- Support reporting processes by collating key metrics and observations.
- Identify opportunities to optimise scheduling, formats, and engagement.
- Experience in social media management, content scheduling, or digital marketing (agency or in-house).
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident in managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Awareness of social media trends, culture, and emerging formats.
