About the role
As an Essential Skills Tutor, you will work closely with our learners to arrange, conduct, and invigilate controlled tasks for those undertaking their Essential Skills Qualification. Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Your impact
- Responsible for providing literacy, numeracy and digital literacy support to learners within workshop or one to one setting at Youth premises.
- Responsible for ensuring learners timely achievement of their Essential Skills qualifications.
- Planning and supporting the learner in their individual learning journey.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.
What are we looking for?
- Essential experience working with young people and/or being passionate about making a difference.
- Engaging and inspirational training and delivery style.
- Willingness to work towards CAVA qualification or 8375 practitioners Award Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
- Full driving license with use of own vehicle.
