About the role
Our Trainee Assessors provide end to end structured support to our apprenticeship learners on the programme. They ensure the most effective and up-to-date approaches are implemented to prepare learners to successfully progress in their Children & Young People qualification. Our apprenticeship program provides learners with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in Children & Young People, equipping them with essential skills for a successful career in the industry.
Your impact
What are we looking for?
- Deliver high quality knowledge and competency-based assessment to assigned learners/clients ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.
- Covering a regional area, travelling to visit learners in workplace to undertake assessments.
- Effective management of caseload and scheduling is critical.
- Support learners to progress through the learning journey through effective planning, feedback and regular learner interaction.
- Responsible for conducting monthly learner progress reviews and agreeing clear measurable targets by communicating progress and achievement of learners to the manager/employer consistently throughout the programme.
- Complete Individual Learning Plans with all learners to ensure effective and appropriate support is provided throughout the learner journey and progress is recorded.
- Ensure Internal Quality Assurance systems are performed and maintained as per code of practice.
- Ensure the learner journey is effectively planned, accurately documented, and consistently updated to enable timely achievement of outcomes.
Essential
- Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Health and Social Care delivery.
- Level 2 & 3 NVQ/QCF Children & Young People.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
Desirable
- Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
- Welsh speaking is desirable.
