Job Description
Trainee Assessor in Health and Social Care
Salary banding: £23,920 – £24,960
Location: Remote in North Wales (You will be required to visit learners in this area).
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role
Our Assessors provide end to end structured support to our apprenticeship learners on programme. They ensure the most effective and up-to-date approaches are implemented to prepare learners to successfully progress in their Health and Social Care qualification.
Our apprenticeship program provides learners with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in Health and Social Care, equipping them with essential skills for a successful career in the industry.
Your impact
- Ensure the highest training standards by adapting to learner needs.
- Cover a regional area and travel to learners' workplaces for assessments.
- Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and outline personalised learning pathways.
- Reference and evaluate evidence collected in the workplace to meet key skill requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of set performance targets.
- Arrange additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as needed.
- Keep detailed records of clients' achievements to meet the performance criteria established by relevant awarding bodies.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Willingness to work towards Assessor Award (CAVA)
- Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Health and Social Care delivery.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
- Welsh speaking is desirable.
