Hospitality Assessor

Salary banding: £24,500 – £27,000

Location: Covering a regional area.

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assessor to join our team in a dual role supporting both our JGW+ and Apprenticeship programmes.

In this role, you will assess and mentor learners, guiding them toward achieving their hospitality qualifications. Key responsibilities include conducting workplace visits, delivering comprehensive assessments, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Your impact

  • Deliver from Level 1 to Level 4 qualifications to learners, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.
  • Covering a regional area and travelling to visit learners in the workplace to undertake assessments.
  • Complete ILP’s and reviews mapping out learning routes for individuals.
  • Reference and mark evidence collated in the workplace for key skill requirements.
  • Completion of learner attendance records and learner-guided contact hours, ensuring audit requirements are met.
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of agreed performance targets.
  • To arrange further training through day release and to deliver in-house training support as required.
  • Maintain appropriate records of the client’s achievements and meet performance criteria as laid down by relevant awarding bodies.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in delivering, assessing, or supporting apprenticeships in a Hospitality workplace setting.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
  • Welsh speaking is desirable.
