We are supporting a large, complex organisation in appointing an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and support secure cloud deployment pipelines across a Microsoft Azure technology estate. This is a hands-on contract opportunity suited to someone with strong Azure DevSecOps expertise who enjoys working collaboratively across engineering, security, cloud operations, and external partners to deliver secure and reliable platforms.
Location: London - Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite)
Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support secure CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps
- Implement DevSecOps frameworks and best practices across the Azure environment
- Integrate security tooling into pipelines including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and secret scanning
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using BICEP and ARM
- Enable secure, automated, and repeatable deployment pipelines across Azure services
- Support deployment within Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric environments
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
- Design and support identity and access management controls across environments
- Support incident response, recovery processes, and operational resilience
- Design backup and recovery strategies, ensuring RTO/RPO requirements are met
- Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell and Python
- Plan testing, release readiness, and deployment activities with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external partners
- Monitor pipeline performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Work closely with Engineering Leads and Security teams to ensure solutions align with organisational standards and best practices
- Support configuration and management of development, test, UAT, and production environments
- Promote continuous improvement across DevSecOps tooling, processes, and automation
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong Microsoft Azure platform expertise
- Proven hands-on experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (BICEP and ARM)
- Experience integrating security tooling into DevSecOps pipelines
- Experience designing DevSecOps frameworks and secure cloud deployment processes
- Experience with Azure monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell and Python)
- Experience working with Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric deployments
- Experience with identity and access management in Azure environments
- Understanding of backup and recovery design including RTO/RPO
- Experience supporting incident response and recovery
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working collaboratively with engineering teams, security teams, and third-party partners
