As a Youth Tutor, you will work closely with students to provide individualised tutoring sessions, support their learning needs, and inspire them to achieve their potential. Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Your impact
- Delivering training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support, and motivate learners to enhance their skills and progression opportunities.
- Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience.
- Planning and supporting the learner in their individual learning journey.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience working as a tutor, trainer, or mentor for young people.
- Previous experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification or Degree equivalent.
- Good level of Math and English GCSE C, Level 5 or above.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and support young people in a learning environment.
- Ability to plan lessons, assess learner progress, and provide feedback effectively.
Desirable
- PGCE, PCET or equivalent teaching/training qualification.
- Experience teaching a vocational subject, Disability Confident.
