About The Role
Our Assessors provide comprehensive support to apprenticeship learners throughout their programme, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and assessing learners against the criteria set by the relevant awarding body for Essential Skills Wales in Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Literacy.
Your impact
- Deliver literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy support through workshops and one-to-one sessions, ensuring learners achieve Essential Skills qualifications and meet Framework requirements.
- Register, conduct, and invigilate controlled tasks in line with awarding body requirements.
- Manage teaching and assessment tasks, including preparation, marking, and participation in standardisation events.
- Engage learners and employers in qualification attainment and skills development.
- Maintain quality standards set by internal and external quality assurers.
- Keep accurate records of assessment activities and ensure positive outcomes are documented.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion and accuracy of learner documentation.
- Deliver high-quality training programmes to assigned learners/clients.
- Travel within a regional area to assess learners in their workplaces.
- Support planning, monitoring, and achievement of performance targets.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of Work Based Learning and Award Body practices
- Experience Of Delivering Essential Skills Qualifications
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
Desirable
- Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
- Welsh speaking.
