Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Crawley, responsible for driving growth of ITDS Managed Services.
Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients, and presenting tailored managed services solutions.
The role involves developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and bids, leading client meetings and presentations, and collaborating with technical teams to align service offerings with client requirements.
The Business Development Manager will track pipeline activity, maintain accurate CRM records, report on sales performance, and contribute to marketing initiatives such as campaigns and events.
This position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, or B2B sales, ideally within IT, technology, or managed services.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management, with the ability to convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.
- Ability to understand and articulate IT and managed services concepts, translating technical offerings into clear business value for clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including confidence in conducting meetings with stakeholders at different levels.
- Proven capability in strategic thinking, opportunity assessment, and developing tailored proposals or solutions for client needs.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Comfort working on-site in Crawley and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, operations, and marketing.
- Previous experience with CRM tools and proficiency in common productivity software (e. g., Microsoft 365 or similar).
