This role focuses on executing Compliance Risk Management processes and activities within a specific business or functional area, ensuring compliance to mitigate operational losses, fines, penalties or reputational risks.
The position requires candidates who are eligible to work in the Isle of Man and does not offer relocation or sponsorship.
The ideal candidate should possess a sound knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements and developments applicable to their business area, along with a solid understanding of banking products and activities.
Candidates must have a minimum of five to seven years’ experience in Compliance, with qualifications ideally including a first degree in Audit, Business Commerce, or Legal.
The duties include analysing operational activities, customising risk management plans, identifying control gaps, and delivering compliance training tailored to the functional area.
Job Duties
- Analyse the operational activities within a functional area to identify compliance risks and ensure adherence to relevant compliance frameworks and standards.
- Customise and maintain generic risk management plans (RMPs) to fit the regulatory context of the functional area.
- Proactively identify and address gaps in controls, processes, and procedures, and advise on and monitor remediation plans to rectify any shortcomings.
- Review compliance training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness in conveying compliance requirements, and conduct bespoke face-to-face training as necessary.
- Review compliance frameworks, standards, and procedures within the functional area, advising on necessary customisation or amendments.

- 5-7 years’ experience in a Compliance role.
