Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team, providing general support to the Isle of Man Finance Team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in their office, requiring 7 hours of work per day.
Job Duties
- Process payments (electronic payments, telegraphic transfer)
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor bank accounts and update cashbook spreadsheets
- Monitor inward bank statements and reconcile against cashbook spreadsheets
- Produce weekly cash balance reports in line with client requirements
- Process and allocate receipts (cheques, cash, and telegraphic transfers)
- Post entries into the SUN general ledger system
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Maintain archiving spreadsheets and ensure archiving is up to date
- Manage scanning and filing of all transactions
- Perform daily deliveries and collections of documents
- Assist other members of the finance team as required
- Carry out general office administrative duties
Job Requirements
- Experience with banking systems (essential), such as Barclays, Lloyds, RBSI, and HSBC
- Numerate with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Capable of working under pressure and achieving set targets
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a busy team
- Good communication skills for interactions with other departments, external directors, and banks
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
- Experience with the SUN general ledger system is desirable but not essential
- Proficient in Excel and Word
