Our client is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to join their Prudential Supervision team.
This position is vital in supporting the effective delivery of the supervisory plan and methodology for the Life Insurance sector.
Based in the jurisdiction of the role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager and other Managers to engage with Authorised Insurers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
The role involves critical assessments, monitoring of key deliverables, and providing proactive support for supervisory responsibilities.

JOB DUTIES:
Assist in the implementation of the supervisory methodology specific to the Life industry, coordinating with management on the supervisory plan and scheduling of activities.
Evaluate proposals for new licenses and modifications to existing ones.
Manage daily supervisory activities, including prioritising tasks and maintaining accurate records.
Review and evaluate regulatory returns while developing an understanding of associated risks.
Organise and conduct on-site inspections based on the supervisory plan themes.
Contribute to the enhancement of regulatory systems and controls to align with the Authority’s objectives.
Support special ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Build and maintain effective relationships with Authorised Insurers and regulatory bodies.
Address public enquiries, including complaints against regulated entities, in a constructive manner.
Adhere to operational policies and procedures set by the Authority.
Exhibit a commitment to professional development and foster a positive workplace culture.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Hold, or be working towards, a relevant professional qualification (desirable).
Demonstrate relevant industry experience in operational, compliance, insurance, risk, or audit/accounting roles.
Possess a strong awareness of Life Insurance legislation and recent trends.
Exhibit excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in assimilating complex information and summarising effectively.
Capable of managing workloads under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Maintain effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Assist in preparing and conducting meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess a good understanding of risk frameworks and evaluation (desirable).
