The role of the Audit Manager is critical within the Financial Services audit portfolio on the Isle of Man.

This full-time position provides a unique opportunity to lead and manage a diverse range of Financial Services audit clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits.

The successful candidate will be engaged in project managing audits from planning through to completion, while also being responsible for navigating workflows to achieve quality outcomes.

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of Financial Services audit clients, ensuring high-quality audit delivery.
  • Identify client needs and explore opportunities to provide additional value or services.
  • Project manage audits from planning through to completion, ensuring efficient workflows and quality outcomes.
  • Design and implement tailored audit plans that meet client requirements and comply with relevant standards.
  • Supervise, support, and develop junior team members, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
  • Prepare and present business tenders to support the continued growth of the audit portfolio.
  • Manage working capital, including timely billing, monitoring work in progress, and ensuring profitability.
  • Prepare financial statements and related deliverables in accordance with applicable standards.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in audit, ideally with exposure to financial services clients.
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong portfolio and client relationship management experience.
  • Excellent technical audit knowledge, with an up-to-date understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Commercially astute with an ability to identify growth opportunities and add value.
  • Proficient at working independently, taking initiative, and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in a Big 4 environment is advantageous but not essential.
