Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to employ a permanent, part-time cleaner working 16.5 hours per week over 43 weeks per year. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to work both as part of a team as well as independently at times, using their own initiative. Previous cleaning experience within an educational environment would be advantageous but not essential. The ability to move light furniture is required.
Contract: Permanent, 43wks p/a
Hours: 16.5hrs p/w
Salary: SFCA Support Scale SCP 3, currently £24,759 p/a FTE Actual Salary £10,404.18p/a

Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake all aspects of day-to-day cleaning in order to provide a high standard of cleanliness throughout the College
- Cleaning duties as directed by the Estates Manager, Senior Site Manager and Cleaning Supervisor
- Moving light furniture (e.g. tables, chairs etc.)
- Clean toilets and hand basins
- Tidy and dust offices/classrooms/Sport and Social areas/Corridors
- To undertake other cleaning duties as directed by the Estates Manager, Senior Estates Supervisor and Cleaning Supervisor
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Able to move light furniture
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work alone at times and use initiative
- Operate light machinery (buffing machines, dishwashers)
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to prioritise work
