Senior Account Manager

As a Senior Account Manager, you must nurture our existing clients, grow accounts year on year, and provide a top-level client service experience.

As a senior member of Team ITCH, you will be a role model to more junior staff, lead by example, and embody the values of ITCH.

You will be measured on a series of KPIs designed to help you excel in the role, with the main objective of keeping your clients happy and growing their accounts.

A Senior Account Manager is an expert in client relations, management, communication, and commercial thinking.

You have as much skill in time/budget/scope management as you do in building strong relationships and problem‑solving.

Your role within the Client Partner team is about partnering with our Clients, identifying opportunities for growth and developing relationships that make ITCH indispensable to our clients.

You’re the first port of call for any content requirements, and each client should see you as their own Brand Ambassador and advocate.

You are tasked with working with the Head of and Lead Client Partner to seek out and explore opportunities, think commercially about ideas, and effectively communicate these internally.

You are responsible for ensuring all scopes of work, client briefs, and deliverables are fully defined and ready before being handed over to the relevant internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • The day-to-day
  • Build and maintain strong Client relationships
  • Develop and grow clients – understand opportunities and bring them to the wider team
  • Understand your client’s business goals and needs and actively participate in the solution process
  • Continue to develop strategic account plans on an ongoing basis for each Client
  • Report to Client Partner Lead and work with them and the Head of Client Partners to grow your clients
  • Pitch ideas internally and externally
  • Work with Producers to create estimate project budgets, cost estimates and timings, doing a viability check to make sure we can take on each project
  • Ensure the project scope of work is locked in, and all internal and client kick‑offs are set up
  • Handover the project brief to the project team, making sure they are set up for success
  • Receive, translate and deliver on a wide range of project briefs
  • Administration tasks that will help to keep campaigns well‑managed and organised
  • Be part of the quality‑control process, making sure that client satisfaction and their brief/ask is top of mind
  • Share and log campaign details from the client to all team members, ensuring they’re centrally available
  • Do a temperature check of the client throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Present internally and present to clients
  • Entertain clients in relation to understanding their needs and winning new business
  • Use your knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive direction
  • Be part of the regular reporting of projects, tracking client satisfaction and making sure we’re catching things mid‑project and understanding trends so we know which clients fit within our company targets – profit, future opportunities, or new and exciting partnerships
