Responsibilities:
- Migration Strategy & Architecture: Design and lead the development of a comprehensive technical roadmap and architecture for migrating on-premises services to Azure. This includes establishing a robust Azure landing zone that defines the core security, governance, and networking for our entire cloud environment.
- Infrastructure & Platform Migration: Oversee the migration of critical on-premises infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Certificate Servers, DNS, DHCP, and various file services (DFS, FTP, SFTP), to their corresponding Azure-native or hybrid solutions.
- Identity & Access Management: Architect the migration of our on-premises Active Directory and implement a robust IAM strategy in Azure. This includes designing and deploying a seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) solution by integrating Okta with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Cloud Networking & Security: Design and implement a secure Azure networking topology, including Virtual Networks (VNet), subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall. Establish and manage secure site-to-site and client-to-site VPN connections, with a focus on integrating Okta RADIUS for secure VPN access.
- Data & File Services Migration: Develop a detailed migration plan for various file shares, including the use of Azure storage solutions like Azure Files or Azure NetApp Files. Create a strategy to integrate these new cloud services with our existing document management platforms such as Google Drive and AO Docs.
- SAP Workload Migration (Desirable): Advise on and architect the migration of our legacy SAP environments, including SAP ECC and SAP M3, to the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP on Azure best practices, and knowledge of specific migration tools and methodologies.
- Technical Leadership & Governance: Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the migration process, ensuring all activities align with the established landing zone governance model.
- Automation: Leverage automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Terraform) to streamline infrastructure as code (IaC) and automate migration tasks.
