Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mid-Level UX Designer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Design System. This role will specifically be tasked with applying a unique brand expression to an existing system. It involves ensuring consistency, scalability, and usability by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers. The ideal candidate will have experience in user-centered design principles, a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to work with design systems, and a passion for creating seamless user experiences. Candidates for this role must possess strong organizational skills with relevant user experience expertise, preferably in a regulated industry. The ability to progress things independently as well as working in a team environment is crucial, while being able to solve problems quickly and maintain creativity in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be a customer-first advocate who is a confident communicator, comfortable working through ambiguity, and not easily ruffled.
Key Responsibilities
- Design System Management: Maintain and evolve the existing Design System by creating reusable components, patterns, and guidelines. Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices in all design elements. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of design components into code.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research to gather insights and validate design decisions. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with the Design System. Test designs with users to ensure usability and effectiveness.
